Hi! I’m Shannon and I was certified in Kids Yoga summer 2020 with Miss Liz! I also have my 200 hour yoga teacher certification that I completed in 2014 at the Ashtanga Yoga of New Paltz. When I am not practicing my own yoga or doing yoga with my son, I am a psychologist working with children and adolescents. I received my PsyD in Clinical and School Child Psychology in May 2019 from Pace University and am currently working at a local elementary school. Finally, I am a mama to an energetic toddler and an equally energetic (and humongous) puppy.
Hi! My name is Rianna and I’m a Certified Kids Yoga Teacher through Mindful Yoga With Liz. I am also a Head Start Special Education Teacher Assistant as well as a mom to my spunky daughter, Jaena. I love to include dancing and large motor skills in my classes. My hobbies include hiking, dancing, taking Jujitsu, and enjoying anything with a cup of coffee in my hand!
I am a glass-half-full mother of two, an HR Manager and a kids yoga teacher. I am passionate about yoga and mindfulness, and personally enjoy any and all practices from restorative to a hot power flow – believing that you can always find something that you need on your mat to bring with you. I live my life, and try to teach, the idea of treating everyone and every situation with kindness, laughing hard and often, taking up space, and knowing that each of us – and all that is within us – is uniquely powerful and capable. My heart is filled by the opportunity to teach children, of all ages from babies to teens, the lifelong tools that come from a yoga and mindfulness practice, and I’m so grateful to teach and learn from the young yogis and fellow teachers at Mindful Yoga With Liz
I live in Highland with my husband and our 2 awesome children. I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years (eek, it can’t really be that long?!). I took Liz’s Kids Yoga Teacher Training in 2018 and after working with Liz for a while, I decided to further my yoga journey and completed my 200 hour teacher training in 2020. Yoga has always helped me feel very connected to myself, both physically and mentally and I love being able to share that with others. I love to spend time with my family, and when I have some time to myself you can catch me doing some sort of art project, reading a good book, or enjoying a nice cup of tea. I also have an obsession for all things Disney and Sci-Fi!!
